Dr. Banks grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Emory University, and her MD degree from the University of Tennessee. She did her internship and residency at the University of Utah Medical Center and was Chief Resident in the Department of Neurology. She is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and has practiced medicine as a partner in Rocky Mountain Neurological Associates for over 20 years.
She is a general neurologist, caring for patients with various neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, trigeminal neuralgia, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, neuropathy, stroke and Alzheimer’s.
Dr. Black was born and raised in Salt Lake City and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and his MD degree from the University of Utah. He did his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Neurology at the University of Utah Medical Center. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and was Head of the Neurology Department at St. Mark’s Hospital from 2003 to 2019.
He has been a member of the Acute Stroke Team since 2008 and Stroke Director at St. Mark’s Hospital from 2013 to 2019. He is also the Neurology Rotation Director for the St. Mark’s Family Medicine Residency Program. He has been a partner at Rocky Mountain Neurological Associates since 1995 where he practices general neurology including care for patients with stroke, Alzheimer’s, chronic headaches and migraines, multiple sclerosis, seizures, Parkinson’s disease and restless legs syndrome, among other neurological conditions. He also lectures to physicians and other medical providers about the treatment of various neurological diseases.
